Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Manager – Chemical

8 to 18 years

Must have Technical Skills

- 8 to 18 years of experience in strategic sourcing – Direct chemical material, strong negotiation, costing, procurement, supplier development, or category management.
- Strong sourcing & commercial knowledge across Chemicals & Chemical Products.
- Hands-on experience managing RFQs, from requirement gathering through supplier response and sourcing recommendation.
- Proficiency in supplier capability assessment, supplier performance reviews, qualification, consolidation, development, and alternate sourcing.
- Ability to review drawings, prepare RFQ packages, analyze quotations, and create techno-commercial comparisons.
- Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders across North America, Mexico, China, and Europe.
- Working knowledge of sourcing dashboards, supplier scorecards, industrialization tracking, and Jaggaer or comparable sourcing platforms.
- Serve as the primary onsite interface between customer stakeholders, suppliers, and the offshore sourcing team.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for Chemical commodities and support supplier identification across the USA, Mexico, China, and Europe.
- Manage end-to-end RFQ, execution, including drawing review, package preparation, supplier communication, quotation collection, commercial comparison,



and sourcing recommendations.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships; conduct capability assessments, performance reviews, supplier development, consolidation, and readiness activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Owners, Engineering, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and Finance to align priorities, timelines, risks, and issue resolution.
- Track project milestones, service-level commitments, supplier readiness, industrialization, savings, and productivity goals.
- Provide daily updates, weekly executive status reports, sourcing dashboards, supplier scorecards, and category strategy updates.
- Own escalation management, governance reviews, and risk mitigation for supplier delays, sourcing risks, and critical project issues.
