Our custodial team plays an essential role in making that experience possible. You’ll help care for the spaces our guests use throughout their visit, maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization and presentation across the spa. This is hands-on, detail-oriented work for someone who takes genuine pride in a space that feels impeccably cared for.

Facility Cleaning & Sanitation

- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all guest and staff areas, including changerooms, washrooms, showers, relaxation areas, hallways, reception support areas, staff spaces, and other assigned areas.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, fixtures, floors, glass, doors, benches, lockers, and other surfaces according to thermae eleven procedures and approved product-use guidelines.
- Complete scheduled deep-cleaning tasks and detailed cleaning routines to prevent buildup, odour, staining, and deterioration of spa surfaces and finishes.
- Follow area-specific sanitation procedures, including required product dilution, contact times, sequencing, and drying requirements.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness without disrupting the quiet, restorative atmosphere of the spa.

Guest-Ready Presentation

- Continuously monitor the facility for cleanliness, presentation, and replenishment needs, proactively addressing issues before they impact the guest experience.
- Keep guest-facing areas tidy, uncluttered, and aligned with thermae eleven's elevated Japandi-inspired aesthetic.
- Replenish guest amenities and consumable supplies as assigned, ensuring presentation remains consistent throughout the day.
- Perform discreet cleaning and resets while guests are on site,



minimizing noise and interruption and maintaining the serenity of the environment.
- Immediately report spills, damage, unusual odours, facility concerns, or other conditions that may affect guest safety or experience.

Laundry and Linen Support

- Manage continuous laundry turnover to ensure robes, towels, and other linens are clean, folded, stocked, and available when needed.
- Operate washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and spa procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, store, and replenish linens using the appropriate products and cycles.3
- Monitor linen quality and identify stained, damaged, or worn items for removal or follow-up.
- Maintain the laundry area in a clean, organized, and secure condition throughout each shift.

Opening, Midday, & Closing Cleaning

- Complete assigned opening cleaning tasks so the facility is pristine, organized, stocked, and guest-ready before service begins. Complete scheduled midday cleaning and replenishment tasks while adapting to guest flow and operational priorities.
- Execute detailed closing cleaning procedures, including floors, washrooms, changerooms, showers, amenity areas, waste removal, laundry, and assigned back-of-house areas.
- Complete required cleaning checklists accurately and communicate incomplete tasks or facility concerns to the Lead Host or Manager before leaving.

Safety, Chemical Handling & Compliance

- Use cleaning and disinfecting products only as trained and in accordance with product labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), dilution requirements, and thermae eleven procedures.
- Use wet-floor signage and other controls to protect guests and team members during cleaning activities.
- Support compliance with Alberta Health Services, Occupational Health and Safety, and internal sanitation standards applicable to assigned duties.Supplies & Organization
- Monitor cleaning, laundry,



and guest-supply levels and notify leadership when stock is low or replenishment is required.
- Keep custodial closets, chemical storage areas, laundry spaces, and cleaning equipment clean, labelled, organized, and secured as required.4
- Care for cleaning tools and equipment and promptly report damaged, malfunctioning, or missing items.
- Help reduce unnecessary product use and waste while never compromising cleanliness, sanitation, or guest standards.Team & Operational Support
- Work collaboratively with Hosts, Lead Hosts, and spa leadership to prioritize cleaning needs based on guest flow and facility conditions. Communicate clearly during shift transitions, ensuring outstanding tasks, supply concerns, maintenance issues, or safety concerns are handed over appropriately.
- Support circuit resets and other housekeeping needs as directed to help maintain smooth spa operations.
- Model professionalism, discretion, reliability, and respect in all interactions with guests and team members.
- Respond courteously when approached by guests and direct service-related questions or requests to a Host or Lead Host when appropriate.

What you will bring

- Previous custodial, housekeeping, hospitality, spa, fitness, hotel, or facility-cleaning experience is an asset. Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining immaculate, well-presented spaces.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed cleaning procedures, and manage priorities efficiently.
- A strong understanding of safe cleaning practices and willingness to follow all products, PPE, SDS, and sanitation requirements.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, bend, reach, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift or move supplies and laundry safely.
- A calm, discreet, and professional presence suited to a quiet wellness environment.
- Clear communication, reliability, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
