Specialist Business Insights and Analytics

Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A;), the Specialist is responsible to provide ongoing support to the organization by providing the relevant business information. In addition, the Specialist is responsible to participate and support various local and global initiatives, such as the Merck bifurcation. The ideal candidate is an expert in understanding and analyzing the various datasets used by the organization (third party data or internal).

Based on his/her analysis, the Specialist is responsible for communicating meaningful information to the various stakeholders within the company. He/she continuously looks for ways to improve the level of service provided to the sales forces and the rest of the company. All functions are performed through the effective liaison with Sales and Marketing Directors, Product Managers, Sales Managers, Sales Operations Managers, his/her peers in BI&A;, IT and various others dept.

Job Duties





· Conduct ongoing ad hoc analyses to aide management decision-making.

· Corporate spinoff work: inventory of data sources, prepare the system for the transition, targeting customers, territory design, preparing the salesforce.

· Extract and manipulate data.

· Utilize data from various sources to create in depth analyses and reports.

· Respond to questions arising from reports.

· Provide insight/recommendations in relevant business context.

· Identify and support special initiatives to optimize efficiency of sales force.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· BA in Data Analytics, statistics, match, computer science or similar.

Preferred: Pharmacoeconomics. Masters in pharma related field or MBA is an asset.

· 3+ years of relevant experience. Give or take.

· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office programs, essential.

· Knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik).

· Experience in coding with R and SQL is preferred

· Proficient in English (written/verbal).

· Proficient in French (preferred) but functional French is mandatory.
