Store Manager – Bagel Barn Oakville

About Bagel Barn

Bagel Barn is a growing quick-service concept known for fresh bagels, signature sandwiches, great coffee and friendly, efficient customer service. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead our Oakville location.

About the Role

This is a hands-on management position. We are looking for a manager who wants to be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the store, working alongside the team and leading by example.

The Store Manager is expected to work approximately 40–44 hours per week, primarily in the store, including being present during key and busy operating periods. This is not a desk-management position.

You will be responsible for the overall operation of the store, including staff performance, scheduling, training, food quality, customer service, cleanliness, inventory and ensuring daily tasks are completed properly.

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operation of the store
- Be actively present on the floor and work alongside the team
- Lead, coach and hold staff accountable for their assigned responsibilities
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise employees
- Ensure opening, closing, prep and daily operational tasks are completed




- Maintain high standards for food quality, speed, presentation and customer service
- Manage inventory, ordering and cost control
- Maintain a clean, organized and properly staffed store
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace standards
- Handle cash management, deposits and basic reporting
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Work directly with ownership to continually improve store operations

Qualifications
- 2+ years of management experience in a quick-service restaurant, café, coffee shop, bakery or similar environment
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Hands-on management style and willingness to work alongside your team
- Comfortable holding employees accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and able to work early mornings and weekends as required
- Experience with scheduling, ordering, inventory and cost control is an asset
