Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Straight Truck Driver with a Class 5 license and Air Brake Endorsement to join our energetic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a straight truck to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with excellent customer service and warehouse experience, will ensure timely deliveries and positive interactions with clients.

Duties

- Safely operate a Class 5 straight truck equipped with air brakes to transport goods to various locations across the lower mainland.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jack and handheld equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify the vehicle’s safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Deliver products promptly while maintaining accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers,



and warehouse personnel to coordinate pickups and drop-offs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and ensuring a positive delivery experience.

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially operating straight trucks with air brake systems.
- Strong knowledge of moving goods efficiently within warehouse environments using manual handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with team members, customers, and supervisors.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently handle physical demands of loading/unloading cargo.
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred to facilitate smooth operations during deliveries and pickups.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies diligently.
