Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher with OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certification or MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education) certification to co-teach grades 6 through 8. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire middle school learners, foster their academic growth in Language and Social Studies and support their overall social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for education to create an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Language and Social Studies and developing individualized learning plans, and collaborating with colleagues and families to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards in subjects of English and Social Studies
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation among students.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with disabilities or requiring special education accommodations.
- Maintain organized records of student attendance, grades,



and behavioral reports in compliance with school policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities.

Qualifications

- Valid OCT certification or MACTE certification for teaching middle school grades 6–8.
- Proven experience working with students in classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of curriculum content in English and Social Studies
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate writing skills, organizational techniques, and differentiated instruction strategies.
