About Our Client

Client Our client in the insurance sector is sourcing an underwriting assistant for a 6-month contract. The role is hybrid, based out of Toronto.

About the Prospect

- Responsible for data entry of new contracts and/or individual transactions in the accounting and operations system/platforms and all further modifications
- Enter terms and conditions into the accounting system with accuracy
- Review contractual terms and conditions, submit them to relevant stakeholders for approval, and flag ambiguities or changes
- Check and process accounts and claims/invoice advices
- Clarify discrepancies on accounts and claims with internal specialists, clients, and intermediaries
- Manage lower complexity accounts following standard procedures under guidance of a senior manager
- Manage cash flows including setting up client accounts in the accounting system, processing outgoing/incoming payments, and following up on pending payments and open balances

About You

- 3+ years of P&C; insurance experience
- Underwriting assistance experience
- Proficient with reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills - VLOOKUP’s, pivots
