NorthWest Animal Hospital, a small animal practice in NW Calgary, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist who is friendly, compassionate, hardworking, and enjoys providing excellent customer service.

Position Details

- Full-time position – 40 hours per week
- Previous reception or customer service experience is preferred but not required
- Veterinary reception experience is an asset but not required

Job Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Answer phone calls, respond to client questions, and provide information about appointments, services, and clinic procedures.
- Book and coordinate appointments while maintaining an productive daily schedule.
- Welcome clients and their pets with a friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Check patients in and out for appointments and assist with food and medicine pick-ups.
- Process payments and complete routine reception transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.
- Keep the front desk and reception supplies organized and stocked.
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service in person and over the phone.
- Communicate and work effectively with the veterinary team.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client and patient information.
- Multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy veterinary environment.
- Learn and adapt to clinic procedures, computer systems, and software.




- Can also be asked to assist with Veterinary assistant duties if required

The Successful Candidate The successful candidate will be:

- Comfortable working in a busy environment.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Previous reception or customer service experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
