Discover Vision Therapy is looking for a rehab assistant to work with both children and adults.

A vision therapist works one-on-one with people to overcome vision problems including those related to learning disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. An ideal vision therapist is highly motivated to help others be more and achieve more. The therapist needs to be organized, detail orientated and creative.

Qualifications:

A coaching, healthcare, rehab assistant, education or child development background is beneficial, but not necessary. We would prefer someone who has at least 2 years of post-secondary education or a bachelor’s degree. seamless service delivery.

Experience:

Initial training will be on-the-job.



Further formal training opportunities will be available in the future. The candidate must be willing to take initiative with self-directed learning with the resources provided.

Job Duties:

· Planning, preparation and delivery of the sessions with guidance from a licensed optometrist.

· The therapist will work collaboratively with the optometrist to succeed in both their duties and their goals.

· Build a culture of momentum that guides and empowers individuals to make positive movement toward achieving their potential.

· This is a permanent in-person position. Must be available to work Saturdays except long weekends, as well as some evenings.
