Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our distribution and logistics processes. This position involves various tasks related to shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management.

Duties

- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes to load and unload materials safely.
- Perform order picking and packaging tasks to prepare products for shipment.
- Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems for warehouse management including tracking inventory, managing shipments and associated orders effectively.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Engage in heavy lifting and movement of products throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency, carrying out duties in a manner that will not create a hazard to yourself or others.
- Work with co-workers and members of the Safety Committee to help create a safe working environment by making safety suggestions and recommendations.
- Follow all OHS requirements and company policies as set out in the Peavey Mart's Policies, Procedures, and Practices Guidebook.

Skills





- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is considered an asset and will be given higher priority for interview.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong ability in order picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

Job Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of retail experience or equivalent warehouse experience is considered an asset

Working Conditions

- Standing for extended periods, walking long distances to move/handle merchandise
- Lifting up to 40lbs. and maintaining fitness level to perform all functions as set forth above
- Operating and working around machinery
- Being prepared to work in all types of weather

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
