POSITION PURPOSE The Warehouse Maintenance Associate supports safe and efficient warehouse and manufacturing operations by completing general facility repairs, building custom wooden crates and skids, and assisting with production work as required. This position uses hand, power, and pneumatic tools to complete practical work to an acceptable standard. The employee is expected to work safely, organize assigned tasks, communicate repair needs, and learn new equipment and processes as training is provided.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

The following skills and qualifications are preferred but not limited to:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in general maintenance, carpentry, woodworking, construction, warehousing, or a similar hands-on role.
- Experience safely using common hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic calculations.
- Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and fasten wood materials to build custom crates and skids.
- Basic knowledge of wall repair, drywall patching, painting, and other general building repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the safe operation of assigned machinery and equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions, drawings, measurements, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to organize work, manage time, and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
- Reliable, adaptable, and willing to assist in different areas of the warehouse and manufacturing operation.
- Ability to communicate respectfully and work effectively with employees from different departments.

JOB DUTIES: Warehouse Maintenance and General Support · Build custom wooden crates, skids, pallets, supports, and protective packaging based on product dimensions and shipping requirements.

· Measure materials accurately and safely cut, drill, fasten, and assemble components using appropriate tools and hardware.

· Select materials and construction methods that protect the product while minimizing unnecessary material use and waste.

· Inspect completed crates and skids to confirm they are secure, stable, and suitable for safe handling and transportation.

· Complete general facility repairs, including minor wall repairs, drywall patching, painting,



and other basic building maintenance.

· Repair and adjust doors, hinges, locks, handles, latches, and door closers.

· Install shelving, cabinets, whiteboards, signs, hooks, guards, and other warehouse fixtures.

· Assemble and repair workbenches, carts, office furniture, storage bins, and non-powered material-handling equipment.

· Complete minor plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets and clearing simple blockages, and report leaks or work beyond the position's training and authorization.

· Replace light bulbs and damaged light covers when the work can be completed safely without performing electrical repairs.

· Apply caulking, sealant, weatherstripping, and insulation around doors, windows, and wall openings.

· Repair minor floor damage and maintain painted floor lines, safety markings, and designated storage areas.

· Perform routine inspections of doors, walls, floors, shelving, work areas, and facility equipment.

· Complete basic preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, tightening, and replacing simple wear items within the employee's training and authorization.

· Maintain ladders, toolboxes, carts, dollies, and other commonly used warehouse equipment.

· Build storage solutions, dividers, protective barriers, templates, jigs, and simple wooden fixtures.

· Assist with moving equipment, furniture, workstations, and storage areas during layout changes.

· Install and maintain safety signs, mirrors, bollards, corner guards, and protective barriers.

· Assist with snow removal, ice control, and basic exterior property maintenance when required.

· Coordinate access and provide assistance to approved outside contractors completing repairs.

· Maintain an inventory of commonly used repair supplies, hardware, lumber, paint, and replacement parts, and advise the Manufacturing Manager when replenishment is required.

· Keep maintenance records and document completed repairs and outstanding concerns.

· Respond to minor repair requests from warehouse, manufacturing, and office employees based on assigned priorities.

· Identify work requiring a licensed trade or qualified contractor and report it to the Manufacturing Manager.

· Assist the company Millwright with maintenance, repairs, equipment installation, and improvement work as required,



within the employee's training and under the Millwright's direction.

· Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools, and inspect tools before use.

· Operate assigned production or warehouse machinery after training and authorization.

· Follow lockout, guarding, personal protective equipment, and all other applicable health and safety procedures.

· Keep work areas, tools, hardware, and materials clean, organized, and stored in their designated locations in keeping with Quest's 5S practices.

· Assist with material handling, warehouse organization, and production tasks when required.

· Coordinate work with warehouse and manufacturing employees to reduce disruption to operations.

· Use materials and company resources responsibly and look for practical ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

· Perform other related duties as assigned and participate in training required for the role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs, and work in different positions while completing repairs and building crates or skids.
- Must be able to move within the warehouse and manufacturing areas to access materials, tools, equipment, and work locations.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including lumber, tools, hardware, parts, and other materials.
- Must be able to safely push, pull, grip, and perform regular repetitive motions when using tools and handling materials.
- Must have sufficient vision and hearing to work safely around tools, vehicles, machinery, and other warehouse activity.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Generally works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment but may occasionally be required to perform duties outside of the typical warehouse setting.
- Regularly works around moving equipment, machinery, lumber, tools, dust, fumes, airborne particles, paint products, and varying noise levels.
- May occasionally work from a ladder or in areas with limited access when trained and when the task can be completed safely.
- All required personal protective equipment and safety procedures must be used and followed for each task.

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the standard. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
