From our Winnipeg location, we support customers throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario with quality products, exceptional service, and industry expertise.

We are currently seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead to take ownership of our Winnipeg warehouse and help drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys working on the floor, solving problems, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact within a growing company.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional management role. We're looking for someone who leads by example, works alongside the team, and takes pride in maintaining an organized, efficient operation.

The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time actively working in the warehouse while overseeing daily operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, receiving activities, and our sample program.

As a key member of the Winnipeg team, you will report to the Sales Manager while working closely with the VP of Operations and Operations Manager at our head office in Langley, BC.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations

- Coordinate and participate in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order picking, shipping, transfers, and customer pickups.
- Receive weekly transfer shipments from our Langley distribution centre, along with special-order inbound shipments.
- Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, staged, and ready for pickup or shipment.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, storage practices, and workflow efficiency.

Inventory Management





- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Process inventory adjustments and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential stock concerns.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between branches.
- Utilize Syspro ERP and Microsoft Office applications to support warehouse operations and reporting.

Sample Program Management

- Cut product samples for customers, designers, architects, and sales staff.
- Organize and maintain an extensive sample library.
- Track sample inventory and replenishment requirements.
- Assemble sample boards and displays.
- Support showroom updates and merchandising initiatives.
- Coordinate sample shipments when required.

Communication & Coordination

- Serve as a key link between warehouse operations, sales, and head office.
- Work closely with the sales team to resolve inventory, order, and fulfillment challenges.
- Prepare shipping documentation and freight-related paperwork.
- Assist with freight claims and shipment discrepancies.
- Communicate proactively with suppliers, branches, and internal departments.

Team Leadership

- Lead by example while working alongside an experienced Warehouse Associate.
- Coordinate daily workflow and priorities.
- Promote accountability, safety, organization, and professionalism throughout the warehouse.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Experience working in a distribution or building materials environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Robust communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely handle heavy materials.

Preferred
- Leadership or lead-hand experience.
- Experience with Syspro ERP.
- Experience handling tile, flooring, building materials, or large-format porcelain slabs.
- Inventory control and cycle counting experience.

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
