Wash & Fold Lead Hand, Full Time, College St

DoMyLaundry.ca is a wash and fold laundry service on College St in Toronto. We pick up, wash, fold and deliver for residential and commercial clients across the GTA. We are a small team with steady work, and our standards matters to us.

We are hiring one person, full time, for a senior spot on the wash and fold floor.

What you would be doing

This is a hands-on job. You are part the process, not watching it. You will work with the team to complete:

- Weighing and logging every order as it comes in
- Washing, drying and folding to our standard, residential and commercial
- Keeping every order correctly tagged from the machine to the shelf
- Catching the things that cause problems: damage, stains, anything that should be dry cleaned, a bag count that does not add up
- Keeping the floor and the machines clean, and flagging supplies and faults before they become a problem
- Making sure the day's paperwork gets photographed and sent before you leave

Where it goes

We are hiring this role to develop our second key holder and assistant supervisor. That means you will become the person who opens and closes the operations, gets the day started, closes it down at the end, and eventually helps train current people.

You will start at our standard rate and you earn the step up by being reliable, consistent, and by proving you can do the work properly, start to finish, on any order that comes through the door.

The pay

$18.00 an hour to start, which is what everyone on wash and fold starts at.

Paid every two weeks by direct deposit, with a pay stub. Vacation pay as required.





Raises will come when responsibilities are added to the role as it develops.

The schedule

Monday to Friday, daytime. Our busiest days are Monday and Wednesday. We do not normally open on weekends, though there is occasionally weekend work available at no obligation. You need to be available across the full week, because this role is the backbone of the schedule.

What we are looking for

- You show up, on time, every time.
- You work at a good pace and you do it properly.
- You are easy to work alongside and you do not create friction.
- You are comfortable being the person responsible for opening and closing.
- Laundry, dry cleaning, housekeeping or any hands-on production experience is a real plus, but we will train the right person.

You need to be legally able to work in Canada and able to get to College St. and Ossington St. reliably.
