The Josie is presently hiring for seasonal positions for the upcoming 2026/2027 Red Mountain Ski Season! Join us at the Josie!
Join our vibrant culinary team as a Line Cook and bring your culinary talents to the slopes! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced mountain resort environment. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, cooking, and food safety will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work amidst breathtaking winter scenery while honing your skills in a dynamic kitchen setting. Whether you're passionate about meal preparation or eager to develop your food industry expertise, this role is perfect for motivated individuals ready to thrive during the busy ski season.
We have both permanent and seasonal roles available!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and efficiency, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Support the food service team by serving meals promptly and courteously to guests.
- Follow all food safety protocols and adhere to health regulations during meal preparation and service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts.
- Assist in inventory management by receiving deliveries and organizing supplies for easy access.
Qualifications
- Previous culinary experience in hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen environments is required.
- Valid FoodSafe Certificate
- Flexible availability and reliable transportation to get to/from work.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and meal preparation techniques.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods and food industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Enthusiasm for working in a winter mountain environment and providing exceptional guest service.
