Datum Details is a premium home care and maintenance company serving Calgary's finest custom homes. We're backed by Datum Homes, an established custom home builder, and Cathedral Custom, our millwork and cabinetry shop. We have steady work, strong client relationships, and our own software to run it. What we need now is the person to run it.

The Role

This is a founding role. You'll be the first person in the field and the person who builds the team. Expect roughly half your week on the tools and half running the business: meeting clients, pricing work, lining up trades, and making sure every job finishes right. As the work grows, you'll hire and lead a tradesperson who reports to you.

If you came up in the trades, you can still do the work, and you're ready to run the whole operation, this is built for you.

What You'll Do

- Do the work: repairs, maintenance, drywall, carpentry, finishing, and home systems
- Meet clients and win work: walk their homes, understand what they need, and turn one-off jobs into ongoing maintenance relationships
- Scope and price: figure out exactly what a job needs and put together accurate estimates
- Source materials: know what to buy, where to get it, and have it on site before the work starts
- Run the trades: schedule them, walk scopes with them, and hold them to quality and timelines
- Track every job: keep projects, schedules, and client updates current in our software
- Own quality and closeout:



confirm the work is done right before the client has to ask
- Build the team: help hire and lead the tradespeople who grow with us

Who You Are

- Years of real field experience in construction, renovation, or home maintenance, with time on the tools
- You know how a house works: framing, drywall, finishing, plumbing, HVAC, and the building envelope
- You've priced jobs and been responsible for how they turned out
- You're comfortable talking with clients and asking for the work
- Trades respect you. You're easy to work with, but firm
- Organized and self-directed. You close your own loops
- Comfortable using a phone app and Slack to run your day
- Valid driver's licence required

Compensation

- $70,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience and capability
