Every load of fresh food, medicine and frozen goods crossing Canada relies on two things: a trailer that's road-ready and a reefer unit that holds temperature. We keep both running, and you could start in our yard.

We're looking for a hard-working, reliable Yard Technician to join our TRU-Trailer team. This entry-level role combines two trades: Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) repair and trailer repair. You'll work around reefers, dry vans, flatdecks and the trucks that pull them. If you'd rather turn a wrench than sit at a desk, this is your spot.

What you'll be doing:

- Moving, staging and parking trailers safely around the yard
- Doing walk-around inspections on trailers and reefer units as they come in, so our technicians and service advisors can get customers back on the road faster
- Helping technicians with diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance
- Learning basic trailer repairs such as lights, wiring, mud flaps, doors, seals, tires and brakes
- Learning basic TRU service such as fuel checks, filters, belts and pre-trips
- Washing units and keeping equipment clean before it goes back to the customer
- Keeping the yard and shop organized, tidy and ready to work
- Jumping in wherever the team needs a hand

You'll work alongside our technicians, parts team and service advisors every day and learn how a transport refrigeration and trailer shop runs from the ground up.

What we're looking for:

- A strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. No experience needed, we'll train you
- A valid Class 5 licence (Class 1 or yard tractor/forklift experience is an asset) with two years experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outside in all conditions
- Reliable, punctual and safety-minded

Schedule: Monday to Friday to start with move to modified shifts for the successful candidate when ready Job Type: Full-time
