About the Role

The Company is seeking exceptional individuals to join its Board of Directors, particularly those with strong connections in corporate Alberta, especially in the energy, real estate, and professional services sectors. The ideal candidates will have a wide network and the ability to open doors for the organization, as well as the financial acumen and experience necessary to strengthen the Finance and Audit Committee.

The Board is particularly interested in individuals who can contribute to audience and brand-building, with a focus on expanding the company's reach and impact. While a background in dance is not required, a deep conviction in the value of excellent arts institutions to the cultural fabric of a community is essential.





Directors will be expected to govern seriously, attending to the strategic, financial, and stewardship responsibilities of the organization. This is an unpaid, volunteer role that offers a unique opportunity to be part of one of the defining cultural institutions in the region.
The successful candidates will be part of a governance board with a development mandate, working to ensure the company's continued artistic excellence and community engagement. The role involves setting direction, overseeing financial and risk management, and supporting the leadership of the organization.

The Board meets four times a year, with additional committee work in between, and is committed to maintaining a formal balance between Southern and Northern Alberta representation.
