This senior leadership role is pivotal in maintaining the organization's underwriting philosophy, risk appetite, technical standards, and governance framework across all life and health insurance businesses. The successful candidate will be a corporate risk subject matter expert, providing guidance on mortality, morbidity, product, underwriting, and fraud risks. Key responsibilities include leading the evaluation and approval of underwriting and product-related risk initiatives, assessing the implications of changes, and ensuring alignment with corporate risk management objectives. The role also involves strategic leadership, influencing decision-making,



and representing the organization on industry matters.To excel in this position, candidates must have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive life and health underwriting experience, with a strong preference for those holding an individual underwriting approval authority of at least $30 million. Significant experience in assessing complex mortality and morbidity risks, particularly in high-net-worth and Asian insurance markets, is essential. The role requires a proven track record in leading complex underwriting, governance, or risk initiatives, as well as experience in developing underwriting philosophy, guidelines, and risk governance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence business leaders.
