Valard Construction is recruiting Powerline Technician Apprentices for team-oriented fieldwork. Candidates will be involved in maintaining electrical systems and assisting Journeyperson Technicians in various installation duties. This hands-on apprenticeship offers the experience needed while operating line trucks and adhering to industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Journeypersons towards certification completion
• Maintain and inspect poles, towers, and cabling
• Effectively splice and insulate electrical wiring
• Open and close switches, install ground devices
• Utilize tools for safe and effective energized work
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in Ontario Apprenticeship
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Available for various shifts and travel required
• Familiarity with safety protocols in the industry
• Ready to join CUSW for a union worksite
