Engage with Island Crisis Care Society as a Custodian to help maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments at Hearth Newcastle Place and Samaritan Place. Your role will be essential in supporting our mission of care.
At ICCS, we are searching for a Custodian who is passionate about making a difference through dedicated cleaning and maintenance efforts. Your responsibilities will include performing cleaning across facilities, minor repairs, and securing the premises. By ensuring these spaces are clean and safe, you will contribute significantly to supporting those in need within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all building areas
• Collect and maintain waste and refuse management




• Maintain outdoor cleanliness and perform gardening duties
• Support minor maintenance and repairs on facilities
• Lock and secure buildings while maintaining logs and records
Requirements:
• Required Grade 10 education
• At least one month of related experience
• WHMIS 2015 certification needed
• Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable individuals
• Knowledge of mental health and substance use concepts
Help provide a protected and clean space for the community through your pivotal custodial contributions.
