Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team of investment professionals in Toronto. The Director will be responsible for leading transactions from start to finish, including origination, structuring, due diligence, negotiation and closing of new investment opportunities. you will assist the Managing Directors with coverage for newly onboarded clients and work closely with a variety of internal partners across BMO. You will work alongside the Managing Directors to help mentor a team of associates to evaluate new investment opportunities and manage/monitor the portfolio. The day‑to‑day responsibilities of the Director will include: Lead the evaluation and due diligence of fund investments, direct equity and subordinated debt opportunities; Present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee and defend the valuation of investments quarterly to the Valuation Committee; Lead legal documentation review and negotiation; Monitor existing portfolio companies; develop relationships with management to stay up to date on performance and outlook; Build relationships and develop a robust network with private equity, growth equity and venture capital firms; Collaborate with colleagues across BMO Financial Group, including the Commercial
