Additionally, Reimbursement Specialist will perform a reimbursement navigation and coordinate services for patients who have been prescribed the medication by their doctor. The Reimbursement Specialist’s responsibilities include assisting physicians and patients with regards to drug coverage, following up on submissions related to obtaining coverage from insurers and ensuring timely access to prescribed treatments. The Reimbursement Specialist also provides ongoing support to patients through effective communication to ensure seamless access to the prescribed therapy.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWork with patients to remove barriers for access to the prescribed medicationProvide education to patients, HCP’s (Health Care Providers) and their staff regarding program services.Respond to inquiries from patients, HCP’s (Health Care Providers)



and their staff in a timely and appropriate mannerSupport access to medication and expedite time to obtain the drug prescribed by providing reimbursement support and assistance for patient out-of-pocket costsCommunicate with patients, HCP’s, clinic staff, and Key Account Managers to provide education and services pertaining to the acquisition, access, coverage, reimbursement and affordability of medicationConduct reimbursement investigations with private reimbursement providersReview, analyze and validate information provided by patients and HCP’s for accuracy and completeness to ensure initiation of servicesProvide answers to general inquiries on Program services, based on information provided as part of the Program Case Manager materialsQUALIFICATIONSProficiency in French and English requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsA positive and hardworking attitudeAble to demonstrate compassion and patienceAble to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once with required urgency in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Google and Adobe applicationsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentA willingness to learnEffective problem solving and critical thinking skillsExperience in reimbursement or with Patient Support Programs is an assetExperience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an assetEDUCATIONCompletion of post-secondary school requiredWORKING CONDITIONSRemote, home-office environment or office workplace: sitting at a desk, working at a computer.This is currently a hybrid role with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.#J-18808-Ljbffr
