The UBC Okanagan Library seeks a committed Reference and Instruction Librarian. This impactful full-time role focuses on engaging with students and faculty to support teaching and research initiatives.

In this position, reporting to the Head of Teaching Partnerships and Public Services, you will lead faculty liaison efforts, reference services, and develop instructional programs. The role primarily supports the Engineering department while offering flexibility to cover other areas. Candidates with less than two years of experience are encouraged to apply to cultivate their professional journey within a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:



• Deliver effective liaison services to academic departments • Develop instructional materials and host workshops • Provide specialized reference aid to library users • Partner with others to promote information literacy initiatives • Attend professional development workshops and events

Requirements: • Master's degree in library science or equivalent • Experience with instructional design and reference service • Interest in developments in information literacy • Familiarity with academic-library-related systems • Solid teamwork and communication abilities
