Make a difference in senior care as a Cook at Extendicare's Trillium Court Home, Kincardine, ON. This casual position results in high-quality dining experiences for residents.
In this role, you will prepare meals according to individual dietary needs while supporting a dedicated team. Working from 10AM to 6PM, you will take part in nutrition planning, oversee food preparation by Dietary Aides, and ensure compliance with health standards. Your culinary skills will play an essential role in enriching the lives of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare food in line with prescribed diets
• Provide guidance to Dietary Aides during mealtime
• Maintain daily kitchen records and food quality
• Set up and manage the kitchen's operational needs
• Act in place of the Dietary Manager as needed
Requirements:
• Culinary certification or diploma required
• Current Food Handler's Certificate
• Vulnerable Sector check within three months
• “Red Seal” certification is a plus
• Degree in food and nutrition preferred
