Career Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full time Receiver to join our Distribution Centre team located in Halifax, NS. Our ideal candidate is energetic and has a positive & collaborative can-do attitude with great attention to detail and drive to reach targets. Those looking for a role where they can contribute and learn in equal measure will fit in well.

Responsibilities

• Unload goods from delivery vehicles.


• Verify accuracy of deliveries.


• Complete paperwork for incoming deliveries.


• Work with Purchasing Department to correct any issues with product UPC codes.


• General Bin maintenance.


• Replenish Bins with incoming goods.


• Review customer complaints, investigating where/if an error occurred.


• Ensuring all Health & Safety protocols are adhered to.


• Participating in continuous improvement activities.


• Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.


• Work effectively as a team, use and learn from each others knowledge and support your co-workers.


• Demonstrate our company culture and values.


• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate


• Previous inventory, retail, and receiving experience is preferred


• Experience using a pallet jack and forklift is an asset, but not required - full training provided


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Natural sense of urgency, ability to perform in a fast-paced environment


• Proven organization, time management, and prioritization skills


• Strong problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills


• Self-motivated


• Strong team player


• Demonstrated professionalism


• Detail oriented

Location: 3695 Barrington Street, Halifax, NS B3K 2Y3

Job Type:Full-Time (37.5hours). OT starts at 40 hours.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required as needed to meet business needs.
