Position Overview Agilus by Synergie is recruiting a Contract Maintenance Planner in the Oil and Gas sector based in Calgary, Alberta. The role is a hybrid work workplace that supports maintenance teams and aligns with Operations, Engineering, and Project groups.Compensation & Schedule Total rewards: $66.00 – $81.00 hourly. 1‐Year contract position. Schedule: 12‐hour shifts with modified travel days. Rotation: 8 days on, 6 days off (Tuesday to Tuesday). Travel days: 6‐hour shifts (first and last day). Core workdays: 12‐hour shifts (Wednesday through Monday). Work type: Fly‐In/Fly‐Out. Accommodation: Camp accommodations provided. Transportation: Flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton hubs.Typical Day Responsible for planning all maintenance activities for assigned trade‐based work.Receives and reviews work requests, prioritizes tasks, and selects work for execution based on priority and required dates.Develops detailed work plans inclusive of materials, tools, labour requirements, external services, and estimated costs.Prepares complete work packages with task sequencing and required documentation.Confirms availability of materials, tools, and services prior to scheduled execution.Supports preventive maintenance programs and job plan reviews.Coordinates maintenance activities with cross‐functional stakeholders.Ensures sufficient planned work to support short‐term scheduling.Supports planning for shutdown, turnaround, and outage events,



including major maintenance scopes.Participates in planning‐related meetings within the maintenance management framework.Provides planning support for corrective actions and project‐related maintenance work.Maintains and improves future task lists to enhance planning effectiveness.Escalates issues requiring higher‐level input or resolution.Accountabilities Adherence to the work order lifecycle process.Achieving planning‐related KPIs, including planning accuracy, backlog management, and work order completion readiness.Supporting maintenance budget adherence through accurate planning and cost estimation.Compliance with site processes, procedures, and standard practices.Coordinating planning activities across maintenance, operations, and engineering groups.Developing and maintaining detailed maintenance plans and schedules.Coordinating with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure timely execution of maintenance activities.Analyzing equipment performance data to identify maintenance needs and optimize maintenance schedules.Preparing work orders and ensuring all necessary materials, tools, and resources are available.Monitoring and tracking the progress of maintenance activities and adjusting schedules as needed.Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.Qualifications Journeyman Trade Certification with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience at the journeyman level.Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross‐functional environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to high safety standards.Extensive experience using a CMMS for maintenance planning (SAP and/or Prometheus preferred).Assets Experience supporting turnaround, shutdown, and outage planning.Familiarity with ABSA regulatory requirements.Experience acting as an operations liaison on projects.Exposure to Greenfield and Brownfield projects, new construction, and management of change (MOC).Skills & Competencies Maintenance planning and scheduling expertise.Strong problem‐solving and analytical capability.Effective coordination and stakeholder communication.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams.Attention to detail in work package development.Meeting facilitation and collaborative engagement.Continuous improvement mindset.Safety & Compliance Required to follow Cenovus safety policies, procedures, and commitments.Responsible for identifying hazards, escalating unsafe conditions, and supporting a safe work environment.Required to comply with lock‐out/tag‐out and other critical safe work procedures.Supports environmental performance by considering environmental impacts in planning activities.Subject to Cenovus Drug and Alcohol Policy, including pre‐assignment testing for safety‐sensitive positions.Required to comply with all applicable regulatory and site‐specific requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
