Our banking client is seeking a Performance Engineer (6+ years) to evaluate and improve application performance using JMeter, Dynatrace, and Performance Testing

Join a large enterprise environment supporting critical banking initiatives across multiple projects. This role focuses on end-to-end performance engineering activities including scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting to improve application scalability and reliability. The position offers long-term project exposure within a large team supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.

Contract, Mississauga, Hybrid, 2 days onsite currently

12 months

Must Haves

- 6+ years in Performance Engineering across requirement gathering, planning, scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting
- Hands-on expertise with JMeter for performance testing script development and execution
- Advanced performance monitoring and analysis using Dynatrace
- Strong background in Performance Testing , workload modeling, large-scale test execution, and performance optimization

Nice to Have

- Splunk, log analysis, and Datadog for diagnostics and observability
- Exposure to SRE skillsets including Chaos Engineering and monitoring production workloads
- Test data strategy and Virtual Services development using Mountebank
- Client-side and end-user experience performance measurement tools
- Previous TD experience

Responsibilities

- Gather performance engineering requirements
- Develop and execute performance testing scripts and scenarios
- Analyze performance test results and diagnose bottlenecks
- Tune application, database, and infrastructure components for optimal performance
- Define workload models and simulate production-like scenarios
- Collaborate with developers, architects, operations, and business stakeholders on performance improvements
- Produce performance analysis and reporting deliverables
