This position ensures that work is completed in a safe, efficient, and expeditious manner.What You’ll Do:Provide leadership and ensure adherence to Health & Safety principals, practices, work methods, and standardsParticipate in project planning site visits, team meetings, route/site selection, and collaborate on landowner/indigenous relations concernsMonitor construction progress, estimate resource requirements, escalates concerns, and schedule work in accordance with the approved project scheduleLiaison on design, site issues, and scope of workEnsure completion and submission of vegetation management packages (patrols) and project turnover packagesParticipate in and/or responsible for the development of cost estimates, contracts,



and project bid packagesMonitor and ensure completion of work in accordance with management prescriptions, Landowner consents/drawings, standards, policies, practices, release packages, 3rd party agreements, and terms of contractsProvide updates on project status, budgets, forecasts, and operationsReview and approve contractor timecards, invoices, change requests, quality control, etc.Travel and work away from home base may be required up to 75% of the timeWhat You’ll Bring:Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Forestry a related discipline from a recognized university or institute of technology with minimum 5 years of related experience and must be registered or eligible to register as a Registered Qualified Forester (RPF) or a Registered Professional Forest Technologist (RPFT), ORHigh school diploma, 7 years of experience in the natural resources management industry and must have or obtain a Certified Utility Vegetation Management Professional designation within 3 yearsA certification as a Utility Arborist (CUA, UTT, UTW) would be considered an assetContractor and Contract management and administration experienceExperience working on large projects over $1M dollars and working with many contractors at once is an assetExperience working with Indigenous communities is an assetExperience in Forestry and/or construction operations around timber salvage, access construction and watercourse crossing,



and pipeline crossing construction is an assetVegetation management, forestry or related industry experience is an assetValid class 5 Driver’s License.Keen understanding of business processes, budget development, business planning and financial management.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while meeting multiple demands and prioritiesStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to establish strong collaborative working relationships across teams, work groups, indigenous communities, and contractors.Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
