The role is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive conditions of all of the Clinic premises including locker rooms, lounges, offices and examination rooms. The ideal candidate has some housekeeping and light food and beverage experience and an appreciation for attention to detail.This posting reflects an existing vacancy, as we continue to hire for this role across multiple clinic locations in the Greater Toronto Area, as listed below:Markham -600 Cochrane DriveWhat You’ll Do:General maintenance of all areas of the clinicHousekeeping opening and closing proceduresSetting up and managing breakfast, lunch and snacks in clinic loungesStocking and inventory for the clinic loungesMaintenance of restrooms and locker roomsInventory and order placement for daily breakfast, lunch and snacksReview and reporting of any maintenance deficienciesLinen supplies and inventoryAssistance with food and beverage serviceSpot checking and refresh of all public areasResponding to client requestsAssisting nurses in setting up examination rooms throughout the dayChecking and distributing incoming deliveriesCleaning of equipment in endoscopy suite if-neededClinic supplies and deliveries as neededSterilization of equipmentDisposal of clinic waste including medical/bio hazard wastePreventive maintenanceCoordinating with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of serviceWhat You’ll Need:Prior hotel Housekeeping experience in a 4-5 Star Hotel is an assetCustomer service skills trainingStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization and time managementThe Clinic is open between the hours of 6:30am-7:30pm. Applicants must be available to work 8.5 hr shifts in-clinic between hours of 6:00am-7:30pm.Position Pay Range$36,374.00 - $50,014.25 CAD annuallyPay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity.
