We are hiring Youth Relief Workers dedicated to fostering a safe workplace for youth experiencing homelessness. This casual role focuses on strength-based, trauma-informed approaches and requires flexibility for various shifts throughout the month. Four shifts minimum, including days, evenings, and holidays, are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a welcoming space for youth in the shelter
• Develop relationships with community service organizations
• Assist youth with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines
• Carry out safety checks and monitor shelter activities
• Document shift-related activities accurately
Requirements:
• Social Services diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 year working with youth in a shelter
• Knowledge of housing first principles and resources
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and adequate insurance
• Certifications in CPI/UMAB and First Aid/CPR are mandatory
