Your Role at Batesville

Batesville Casket Company is a leader in the death care industry, generating nearly $600 million in annual revenue. We are dedicated to providing high-quality burial and cremation products, along with innovative technology to support funeral directors in their mission to serve families. We are seeking a dedicated Class AZ Delivery Driver to join our team in Brampton, ON. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely delivery of our products to funeral homes, contributing to our mission of helping families honor their loved ones. Your commitment to excellence and customer service will be vital to our success.

Pay: 30.00 CA

Minimum Requirements

- Bi-weekly Northern Ontario run: Tractor-trailer delivery route covering Sault Ste. Marie to Thunder Bay to Timmins to North Bay to CSC, returning to CSC on Day 4.
- Overnight stays: Driver must be comfortable sleeping in the tractor during the northern run.
- Local deliveries: During the alternate week, the driver will complete local deliveries using a 16 ft. or 26 ft. box truck.
- Winter driving experience: Experience driving in harsh Northern Ontario winter conditions is strongly preferred.
- Communication skills: Must be able to speak and understand English and build positive relationships with customers throughout Northern Ontario.
- Loading responsibilities: Driver is responsible for loading their own truck and will also be expected to load both northern and local delivery trucks.

What You'll Do Responsibilities

- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle with care.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle for safety and maintenance purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries,



fostering positive relationships with clients.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive, meaning that the employee's performance directly affects the safety of themselves, coworkers, and/or the public.

Qualifications

- Valid Class AZ license with a good driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
