Support meaningful resident engagement at Extendicare as a Recreation Programs Aide. Play a key role in delivering enjoyable activities that enrich the lives of seniors part-time.
Reporting directly to the Recreation Manager, you will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing dynamic programs tailored to residents' needs. Your effective communication with families and volunteers will ensure a collaborative setting while helping to record program participation accurately. You’ll also participate in ongoing education to stay updated on best practices in senior care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning engaging activities for residents
• Keep accurate records for assessments and participation




• Maintain open communication with residents and families
• Facilitate transportation for resident outings
• Evaluate daily activities and support meal services
Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreation or related studies required
• Experience with senior care preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong oral and written communicative ability
• Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
