Start your journey in the millwright trade with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a third-year apprentice in Fort McMurray. This hands-on role focuses on maintenance, repair, and the operation of municipal equipment. As a permanent full time employee working four 10-hour shifts per week, you will engage in a variety of tasks including equipment inspections, modifications, and repairs.

Your work is critical in ensuring the protected and effective operation of essential municipal services while following all relevant health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain pumps, mixers, and other machinery
Assess and troubleshoot machinery for optimal performance




Create and follow guidelines for safety and equipment operation
Maintain logs and records related to equipment status
Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is a must
Currently registered as a 3rd Year Apprentice in Alberta
Experience in industrial or municipal settings preferred
Valid Class 5 Operator’s License required
Ability to work comfortably in various weather conditions Develop your practical skills and contribute to a safer setting through essential municipal work.
