Become a Community Outreach Specialist at Environmental Defence Canada and engage with York Region communities. This role focuses on environmental advocacy and building local connections. As a Community Outreach Specialist, your mission will be to connect with residents of York Region.

You will work closely with outreach staff and report to the Ontario Engagement Manager. Ideal candidates should have a passion for environmental issues and the ability to engage with various community members effectively. You will help promote a protected climate and clean water initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute targeted outreach to community members
Collaborate with outreach staff in developing strategies
Participate in community events to raise awareness
Keep detailed records of outreach initiatives
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required Requirements:
Robust ties to York Region or residency there
Proficient communication and engagement skills
Any background in canvassing or non-profit work is a plus
Robust organizational skills and an eye for detail
Access to a vehicle and driver’s license an asset Leverage your community ties and environmental passion to champion outreach in York Region.
