We are seeking adetail-oriented, organized HR Generalist &Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day human resources andaccounting functions of our small manufacturing company.
This is a hands-on,multi-functional role suited to someone who enjoys variety and iscomfortable working in a small-business environment.
The ideal candidate ishighly organized, maintains confidentiality, communicates well withemployees and management, and is comfortable taking initiative and workingindependently.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Maintain accurate andconfidential employee personnel files.
Maintain accurate andconsistent employee information in Payroll, Time and Attendance, HCM and GroupBenefit systems.
Administer employeebenefits and respond to routine employee questions.
Stay informed aboutapplicable employment standards, workplace legislation, and other HRrequirements and maintain updates to Employee Handbook. (supported by HRadvisory services and management)
Process payroll andrelated forms and documentation.
Assist with recruitmentactivities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, etc.
Complete new-hireonboarding, including employment documentation, orientation, and employeerecords
Support employeecommunications and company events as needed.
Accounting & Finance
Process accounts payableinvoices, obtain approvals,
and prepare payments.
Process accountsreceivable payment posting, and customer account follow-up.
Assist with governmentremittances.
Assist with maintainingorganized accounting records and supporting documentation.
Take on additionaladministrative projects and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experiencein HR, accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or a related administrative role.
Working knowledge ofbasic HR practices, payroll, bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accountsreceivable.
