Gold Leaf Pastries LTD. — Kamloops, BC

Gold Leaf Pastries is looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Full time Pastry Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

This is a hands-on production position in a busy pastry kitchen. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows recipes carefully and consistently, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Previous baking or pastry experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

What you’ll be doing
Cutting, portioning and wrapping bars, cookies, banana bread, cakes and other baked goods
Unmolding cakes, bars and other prepared products
Preparing daily par levels for refrigerated and frozen items
Putting inventory and deliveries away when they arrive
Weighing and preparing ingredients according to recipes
Following recipes and established production standards to maintain consistency
Preparing food in a timely, organized and sanitary manner
Maintaining proper food-handling and sanitation practices
Keeping your work area clean and organized
Working cooperatively with the pastry team to meet daily production needs

What we’re looking for




Reliable and dependable
Strong attention to detail
Able to work efficiently in a busy production environment
Comfortable following recipes and precise measurements
Basic knowledge of baking ingredients
Able to work independently and as part of a team
FoodSafe certification, or willing to obtain within one month
Able to lift up to 25 lbs
Must be available to work mornings and weekends
Comfortable working a 7:30 AM–4:00 PM shift
