Mechanical Supervisor Halifax £43,000 Brief Mechanical Supervisor needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Halifax who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Supervisor that takes pride in their work. The successful candidate will need to have a mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.

Career Progression What the role entails: Some of the main duties of the Mechanical Supervisor will include:
Deliver a safe, happy & compliant hospital workplace to provide the best possible patient experience. Being mechanically bias providing support to the estates team & working with the senior site bases
Supervision of Maintenance Staff: Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standards and timelines.
Plant Inspections and Repairs: Oversee the routine inspection, servicing, and repair of plant to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Compliance and Safety:



Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, hospital policies, and PFI contract requirements.
Contractual Deliverables: Ensure that maintenance works are carried out according to the terms of the PFI contract, including response times and performance standards.
Coordination with Hospital Staff: Liaise with hospital management and clinical teams to prioritize maintenance work and minimize disruption to hospital services.
Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the use of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality service. What experience you need to be the successful Mechanical Supervisor:
Having a Mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.
Authorised Person position previously held or willing to take on roles.
Previously held a supervisory or team leader role.
