Become a Cook I within our esteemed Nutrition Services, preparing meals focused on health and safety. Your culinary expertise will shine as you create delicious, nutritious meals. In this Cook I position, you will prepare food according to detailed specifications, monitor cooking temperatures, and ensure compliance with safety codes.

Reporting to the Nutrition Services Supervisor, you will also participate in staff training and mentoring while adhering to high-quality standards for meal preparation.

Your role will be pivotal in serving therapeutic diets and managing food provision efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals aligned with nutritional guidelines
Supervise kitchen activities in the Supervisor's absence




Ensure food safety and sanitary practices are followed
Assist with food purchasing and inventory management
Participate in training and orientation of recent staff Requirements:
Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
Prior experience in food service or culinary field
Food Handler Training Certificate or willingness to obtain
Robust dexterity and organizational skills
