Position: Security Guard Site: Seneca Polytechnic - Newnham City: North York, ON Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Status: Full‑Time Hours: Continental Rotation – 0700‑1900/1900‑0700 Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.50 an hour Internal Posting Date: February 17, 2026 Internal Closing Date: February 24, 2026 External Closing Date: March 3, 2026 Key Responsibilities Conduct proactive foot and vehicle patrols throughout Newnham's extensive facilities, academic buildings, residence, and student spaces Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies with confidence and care Provide excellent customer service and information to students, visitors, and faculty Monitor access, enforce campus policies, and assist with crowd management during events Prepare thorough incident reports and assist with investigations Engage with Toronto Police, Fire, EMS,



and campus partners as needed Qualifications Legally authorized to work in Canada Ontario Security Guard License First Aid/CPR certification Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude Ability to handle fast‑paced, diverse campus demands Prior post‑secondary or healthcare security experience an asset Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham Your Impact You will be the trusted support for students living away from home—helping create a safe, welcoming residence workplace.
