Elevate your career with NTPC as an Electrical Powerline Technician based in Fort Smith. As a member of the Transmission Distribution Operations Division, you will conduct Journeyperson level work on electrical transmission and distribution systems, as well as ensure the safety of employees and the public.

Successful candidates need at least five years of relevant experience and a Class 3 driver’s license, ideally holding an Interprovincial Red Seal certification. Your adherence to safety protocols will promote a safer work setting and improve operational outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
Construct and maintain electrical transmission lines up to 138 kv
Troubleshoot and repair power distribution systems effectively




Perform customer service meter reading and installation tasks
Select appropriate transformers and conductors for repairs
Interpret electrical blueprints and specifications accurately Requirements:
Certification as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician required
Minimum five years of relevant experience
Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement necessary
Experience with high voltage equipment testing
