Machine Operator – Manufacturing & Fabrication

Our client is a CWB-certified engineering and fabrication job shop located in Brantford, Ontario. They are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join their growing team. Successful candidates will begin in an area where support is currently needed, such as Paint, Pack, or Form, and will receive training to gradually operate additional equipment. Laser, Plasma, Saw, Shear, Mill, Ironworker, Blast, Grind and CNC equipment.

Schedule: 40 hours per week
Pay: $23- 25/ hour

Responsibilities
Operate and monitor various production and fabrication equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Measure materials and verify dimensions according to specifications
Load and run programs on CNC equipment using a computer
Perform quality checks on finished and in-process products
Follow production instructions, safety procedures, and workplace standards




Maintain a clean and organized work area
Handle and move materials safely within the shop
Learn and operate additional equipment as training is provided
Support different departments and production areas as required
Follow all company policies and health and safety requirements

Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, machine operating, or production workplace
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
Comfortable converting decimals to fractions and inches to 16ths, and vice versa
Basic computer skills and ability to load/run CNC programs
Valid G driver's licence is an asset
Box truck driving experience is an asset; some operators may be required to drive the company truck

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
