The Oval Room Jr. F&B; Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of service areas while assisting servers and supporting the culinary and service teams before, during, and after events.

Availability: Mornings and Afternoons with open Availability incl. Weekends and Holidays

Timings: 6:30 AM to 5:00PM *shifts will be scheduled for 8 hours or less based on business needs

Duties

Assisting bartenders and servers to ensure they have everything they need to serve guests.

Stocking and supplying F&B; areas in Oval Room (Front & Back of House).

Keeping all F&B; areas in Oval Room (Front & Back of House)clean and tidy while on duty.

Clearing Tables/scrape plates/sort cutlery/fill water containers.

Providing Exceptional service to guests.

Prepping food ex: bread baskets, condiments etc.

Handling/carry food/plates/trays/glassware/cutlery.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food & beverage.

Other duties as assigned including Room Service.

Qualifications

Punctuality, commitment and reliability are key factors in this role.

Familiar with a high-volume, quick-paced, multi-tasking workplace.





Must be able to perform repetitive motions throughout shift and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand/walk/use stairs ( up and down) to deliver trays of food from kitchen to guest table.

Ability to listen and communicate effectively in English with Servers, Bartenders, Kitchen and Guests.

Have a positive attitude and willing to work as part of a team.

Able to multi – task and take direction from others.

Solid organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

Food Handling Certificate is an asset.

SMART CHOICES responsible beverage service ( Manitoba) is an asset.

Legally able to work in Canada and already living in Winnipeg or surrounding area.
