Clover Crest Farm is a dairy farm located south of Truro. We are seeking a herdsperson. Parttime and Fulltime applicants welcome.
Description
The herdsperson will be involved in the daily operation of a herd of 110 cows milked with 2 GEA robots in a contemporary, free stall barn. While some fieldwork may be required with this position, the focus of it will be in the barn caring for the dairy herd, along with the calves and heifers.
Qualifications
· Previous experience working with dairy cattle
· Above average attention to detail
· Ability to self manage and solve problems as they occur
· Familiarity with dairy management software an asset
· Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
