Full time Registered Dietitian (Part time may be considered)

The Barrie Community Health Centre is seeking a full-time permanent Registered Dietitian to join our interprofessional team at our new Lakeside Terrace site.

What you will do:

· Perform nutrition assessments, develop client-focused nutrition plans, provide health education/counselling, assist with addressing food insecurity issues and perform other activities according to the College of Dietitians of Ontario standards of practice.

· Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, counselling and health promotion programs and services for individuals, families and the community.

· Obtain, develop and evaluate nutrition education resources to meet the needs of the clients.

What you bring to the role:

Undergraduate degree in food and nutrition or Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Science from a recognized university or equivalent.
Dietitians of Canada accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent approved experience.
Registration in good standing with the with the College of Dietitians of Ontario




Three to five years clinical counselling and community nutrition experience
Demonstrated experience in effective teamwork
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency with electronic medical record systems
