As the restaurant's chief host, you will be responsible for welcoming the guests, showing them to their tables, and overseeing and planning the work of the servers and food runners. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for booking reservations and assigning tables to the guests.
Welcome guests and show them to their tables.
Oversee the guests reviews by talking to guests and ensuring they are happy with the food and service and handle any concerns.
Inspect the restaurant on a regular basis while on shift.
Oversee and plan the work of servers and food runners.
Accept payment from the guests.
Create weekly work schedules for the servers and the food runners.
Responsible for interviewing and training servers.
May perform other duties as assigned.
