At Propell, we build the equipment that keeps the energy industry moving. Our team designs and manufactures large-scale industrial equipment used across North America — from electrified oil & gas systems to mobile and modular power generation technologies.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our energetic team. In this role, you will conduct engineering support activities to support the development and maintenance of company product literature and other documentation. Technical writers provide support and work with product designers and customer care representatives to provide accurate and clear instructions.

Duties include:
Create and maintain customer product documentation including Operator's Manuals; Maintenance Manuals; Serial Number Tracking documentations and Spare Parts Lists
Work with multiple departments to establish style and content
Provide engineering support to any relevant stakeholder
Consistently implement technical writing standards and documentation of best practices and experiential learning
Manage and continuously improve work instructions and other forms of technical instruction




Practice safe work procedures at all times
Conduct additional tasks as requested

What you bring:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team workplace
Strong work ethic
Computer literacy in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro), Microsoft Office and familiarity with 3D software (SolidWorks, Composer), PDM, Syspro a bonus
Strong visual / graphic intuition
Time management skills
Proficiency in technical communication
Project and resource management
Ability to work independently
