Journeyperson – Transport Truck & Trailer Technician

City Tire & Auto (Mount Pearl) is seeking a journeyperson Transport Truck & Trailer Technician to join its customer focused & safety-oriented team.

Work Expectation
· Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of motor vehicles & trailers.
· Review work orders and discuss work with management and/or customer.
· Inspect vehicle operation, road test motor vehicles, and test systems and components for repair diagnostics.
· Able to work independently with little supervision.
· Attention to detail.
· Positive computer skills.
· Good communication skills both verbal & written.
· Hours of Operation is 8:00AM to 5:00PM – Monday through Friday.
· Permanent position.

The Ideal Candidate
· A skilled journeyperson (Red Seal Certified) that works well within a team environment.
· Willing and eager to work with apprentices to enable their progression in the trade.
· Must be able and willing to take assignments as directed from management team.
· A valid driver's license is non-negotiable. Applicant must provide a satisfactory driver's abstract.

Compensation
· Competitive compensation: $34.49 - $49.38 per hour for journeyperson.
· 5 Paid Sick-Days, 10 Paid Vacation-Days (starting),



6 Paid Statutory Holidays, and 6 Other Paid Holidays.
