We are a growing before and after school program seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team part time. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing a nurturing, stimulating, engaging and FUN environment for children in Grades 1 - 5.

Responsibilities:
Engage and PLAY!
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
Create a secure and supportive learning environment
Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices
Monitor and assess children's progress
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization




Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends

Skills and Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
Level 2 or Level 3
Previous experience working with children
Knowledge of child development principles and practices
Effective interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and leadership abilities
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
CPR and First Aid certification
Clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search

Shift Timings:
Monday - Thursday: 1:00 - 6:00 pm
Fridays: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
PD Days and School Breaks: 6 - 8 hour shifts

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 26.0 per week
