Assembler - General mechanical Assembly

Description:

We are currently looking for an assembler to work in our switch and positioner production group. The ideal candidate is a mature applicant with a long-term view, enjoys hands-on precision work, has excellent fine motor skills, and has a desire to work closely within a team. Previous optical/mechanical assembly experience is an asset but not essential, training provided - willingness to learn

Requirements:

· Ability to work with small parts (i.e., craft work) – dexterity and visual acuity required for fine/precise assembly

· Positive concentration – good hand-eye coordination, stable hands for component assembly

· Work performed primarily in a sitting position with occasional movement around the workplace

· Prolonged periods of work requiring focus and concentration

· Working using a microscope is an asset




Past experience in electrical component soldering is an asset

Schedule: Hourly 37.5 hours/week. Monday to Friday, day shift, typically 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Wage: Starting $21.25 per hour

3 weeks paid vacation
