Duties
Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to blueprints and project specifications
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, shingles, plywood, and other supplies safely and efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of roofing components
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
Use carpentry skills for framing, trimming, or reinforcing roof structures as needed
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Requirements
Proven experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work at heights safely
Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and construction plans
Handyman experience or familiarity with building repairs is a plus
Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented craftsmanship
Willingness to learn current skills related to roofing techniques and materials
Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation to job sites
